I have been to Overtown and I would have to agree that is poorer and also a very dangerous place to be especially at night. Opa Locka is pretty bad too and so is Miami Gardens.

I remember going there a few times and I remember it being one of the greatest hobby stores ever.
Too bad times took it's toll and it had to close its doors, so sad

That first statement is false. If you do your research, the top 2 poorest neighborhoods in Miami are Overtown, followed by Opa-Locka.

Great location, very well maintain building. Has a Public parking garage, very convenience in downtown Miami, close to brick ell village and surrounded by beautiful hi rises. People movers(free) station right in front of the building(river walk station ) very nice area to have an office.

I just googled this store because I have so many fond memories. I am from South America and my father took me there and I went totally crazy. That was 40 years ago. I am planning to visit the US and wanted to visit this store but it is gone.
